A fair amount of my time in Barcelona was spent visiting ESADE (a business school) to prepare for our school trip there in May, and attending the Net Impact conference at IESE (a rival business school). Both were fun & productive, but the day that was really left for me to enjoy was Sunday.
Sometimes things just line up so well, you couldn't have planned it better. After I rolled out of bed, I left the apartment and walked left - where within a block I found a marathon! Two blocks later, a park with a zoo!
I decided to go back and get my camera before I missed out on too many fun images. It was a good thing too, because guess what I found next? A Carnival parade in Barceloneta! Here are just a couple of images:

After watching the parade for a while, my caffeine addiction was starting to hurt (all this activity was before my morning coffee) so I headed down to the beach for brunch at Cafe Sal, which is practically sitting on the sand and had wonderful food. Here's a photo I took from the outdoor table, and then the view from inside after I got chilly:

Barcelona was lovely, and my only regret was that I didn't have more time to explore - but I'm looking forward to being back there again in May!
